Boy Underground: A Novel
This was a riveting story set during WW2. It is a powerful bit of literature that is epic in scope. The prejudice within this farming community towards those of Japanese descent and gay folks is hard to read. This may be a novel but it faithfully captures a time and place that is not so long ago. I highly recommend this book of real world adventure.
